Morning Run

I had a 3 mile run this morning. It was a good run.  The weather was not bad, a little humid but cloudy and not to hot. I want to work on starting out slower and then get faster.  My first mile is always the fastest and it just gets slower as I go.  I need to figure out how to fix that.

Distance: 3.01
Pace: 15:20

  1. I had that problem a lot when I was starting out and now I'm achieving a lot of negative splits. On fresh legs it's so easy to want to floor it, but it's way better to conserve that energy so you have more to draw from later on. You'll get it!

  2. I always start off slower than I think I should and that helps me so I don't go out too fast my first mile. Then I have more energy for the other miles! It's not an easy thing to master. I'm still trying to figure it out, but it helps!

  3. Thanks Guys! I'm going to try tomorrow with my 5 mile run. Hopefully I can do that. I'm really kinda terrified about running 5 miles!
